I want to marry someone like Rupert and live how he does is Japan countryside.

Rupert is a seriously smart guy and working a public water way seems like how he got his citizenship or work permit? working a farm is still really hard work and still a ton of stress and problems, but it's more rewarding than the corporate grind.

Long leash on the goat with enough pasture are and a water source. This guy makes life a little too hard. There’s so much in places like this. 5-6 chickens! You give them at least 2-3 days till they’re ready to lay egg.

Gosh!! I am glad to find Rupert’s life. I wish I could see more of him. This is exactly what me and my husband discussed today morning when I cried of being tired to live in a city where no one cares about each other anymore. I told him I want to escape this matrix and go to our village to live. We already quit our 9-5 jobs just to get out if this rat race. Struggling to start earning little to survive and go settle in a village living small.

I was born in a countryside of Tochigi prefecture in the early 70s. I have a fond memory of playing by a small river near the house I was born in. There were big willow trees and cherry blossom trees on both sides of the river. Fast forward to the 80s after we moved away from the village, I went back. The river had concrete banks and no trees were standing along the river. My heart broke with such a devastating sight. It happened in the 80s at the height of Japanese economy when majority did not care about environmental issues. But I still remember how the tree branches swayed in the wind and how beautiful and peaceful the sound of the river was. I am socked to see people did exactly the same thing to a beautiful country river in your neighborhood. I would think people/local governments are more aware of sustainable approach .
